A Personal Message to Our Valued Partners From Chris Austin

Dear Valued Travel Partner,

As a travel company, we help create lifelong memories by delivering extraordinary experiences for guests who come from all around the world. It is not only our job it’s our passion. Today our passion has been refocused as we face headwinds posed by the global health situation unfolding before us.

In recent weeks one thing I’ve witnessed has shown that as the global community works together to stop the spread of COVID-19, it is clear that we are more alike than different. We become compassionate for those around us, we all want to stay healthy, protect our families, and be able to return to normal life. While we yearn for certainty and stability, we dream of better days ahead — including dreams of travel and adventure. Fond memories of experiences past create a longing for the experiences we will create in the future.

Seabourn announced the decision to pause global cruise operations for an additional 30 days because the health and safety of our guests and crew is our highest priority. This action is meant to convey to you — our partners in the travel advisor community — that we have the health and safety of all who travel with us as a top priority, whether that’s your clients or our crew. Our pause should also reassure the many destinations we visit each year that we want to be responsible in our operations as we bring travelers into their communities each time we visit. We know how deeply this situation impacts each of our travel partners and vendors, and our communities locally and abroad. I’ve heard from many friends in the industry recently and I’d like to thank you for your very positive outreach, recommendations and continued commitment to Seabourn during this unprecedented time. Perhaps most importantly, your patience and understanding, knowing the pressures we all face, will help reassure your clients that we’re all in this together.
